Highland Village, January 21, 2019 — Guy T Phillips of What’s That Guy’s Name? | PHOTOGRAPHY BY GUY T) in Highland Village has earned the Photographic Craftsman degree from Professional Photographers of America (PPA). The degree was presented to Phillips by TPPA Executive Director Steve Kozak, M. Photog., CR., CPP and PPA president Stephen Thetford, M.Photog.Cr., CPP, at the association’s annual convention, Imaging USA, held January 20-22, 2019, in Atlanta, Georgia.
This degree is not merely a piece of paper. It means that Phillips has met the standards of excellence set by PPA. He has been awarded the Photographic Craftsman degree in recognition of his service to the photographic profession as an orator, author and mentor.
Phillips’ degree—and all the expertise it requires—illustrates his accomplishments and talent as one of a select few. Phillips is a member of the Dallas PPA (DPPA), and an Associate Fellow with the Texas PPA (TPPA). He has delivered numerous seminars and presentations on behalf of the TPPA and PPA, and is a volunteer at many of the association’s conferences. He has authored articles for the TPPA’s ‘The Photographer Magazine’, and will be an instructor at the 2019 Texas School in Addison this April 28th – May 3rd.
