Environmental Testing & Assessment

www.environmentaltestingassessment.com

ETA is licensed by the State of Texas as a Mold Assessment Company able to perform a variety of mold related activities.  The mission and commitment serving North Texas and other areas is to provide peace of mind, honest and quality service in a professional manner that is associated with the highest integrity with client interest as our top priority.

An inspection includes observations made, measurements taken, and locations and analysis results of samples taken during the assessment.  The main idea of an assessment company is that our inspectors are not going to be involved in the restoration process. That means they will only perform mold evaluations that include air and surface sampling to determine whether or not professional intervention is necessary or not. In the event a client does have elevated levels of mold, we also provide a detailed protocol for how to fix the issues. This allows consumers to be educated going into the process, and ensures you will not be paying for any unnecessary issues.

If the mold assessment and initial testing detects a mold problem, we can write a Protocol providing detailed instruction for a Licensed Mold Remediation Contractor (MRC) to follow through the remediation process.  Once the mold has been remediated, we perform Post Mold Remediation Clearance Inspection certifying that mold contamination identified for the remediation project has been remediated as outlined in the protocol; certify that the underlying cause of the mold has been remediated so that it is reasonably certain that the mold will not return from that remediated cause; issue a Certificate of Mold Damage Remediation (CMDR).  (*Cost of the Protocol varies dependent upon the scope of the assessment, involvement and complexity, which is discussed upfront).

Mold Consulting Services – Assessment, Testing, Protocol:

-    Basic Air/Surface Sampling for mold:  includes 2 samples collected, to include the lab report, without an assessment report, interpretation, opinion.

-    Initial Assessment: includes up to 3 samples collected.

-    Protocol with prior assessment, with Clearance Inspection and Testing, included up to 3 samples collected.

-    Combined Assessment / Protocol, with Clearance Inspection and Testing, included up to 3 samples collected for assessment/clearance inspection each.

In the State of Texas, according to the TMARR, “Regardless of the size of the area affected by mold contamination, if a licensed Mold Remediation Contractor is hired by the consumer, the Mold Remediation Contractor must follow the TMARR. This includes developing a work plan which follows a protocol developed by a licensed Mold Assessment Consultant,” per the Texas Department of State Health Services / Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation.

As to a required site visit to assess a property, we take necessary precautions for concerns with the COVID-19 outbreak to minimize potential exposure, such as the wearing PPE (N-95 Face Mask or Half Face Respirator with P-100 or Vapor Cartridge, Nitrile gloves, other as needed), as well as a few qualifying questions as to the applicable health and wellbeing of members of the household, prior to confirming any appointment.

At ETA, we are here as a resource, and to help!
