Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County is committed to a multidisciplinary response to child sexual abuse. Established in 1997, the agency coordinates with law enforcement, child protective services, medical and mental health professionals to help children and their non-offending family members seek justice and find healing.
In an effort to protect Denton County’s children from sexual abuse, the center offers free training and community outreach programs designed how to help the public recognize and react responsibly to child abuse.

Lewisville Lake Symphony

The Lewisville Lake Symphony is 25 years young. Its present season features:
• Four Symphony Series concerts held at Lakeland Baptist in Lewisville featuring its all- professional orchestra under Maestro Adron Ming.
• Four Lewisville Lake International Chamber Series concerts at Trinity Presbyterian in Flower Mound presented in cooperation with the University of North Texas.
• A Family Popcorn concert in cooperation with the LakeCities Ballet targeted at the Kindergarten set.
• A special concert featuring the UNT Steel Drum ensemble.
The Dallas Morning News says we are one of the most respected regional orchestras in Texas.
We cooperate with LISD on a Student Rewards program and operate the Vernell Gregg Young Artists’ Competition for highly talented middle and high school students.
